July 14 (suffering from illness)
Precious Savior, Saint Camillus repented from a wild-spent youth and gambling addiction to serve You, and although he was incurably diseased, he took care of others who were sick. He founded the Congregation of the Servants of the Sick, believing that the suffering people were living images of You, dear Jesus. I ask him to pray for those I know who are ill, that the way they carry their crosses and serve others despite their own pain will be a witness to others. Teach them to offer up their sufferings for the spiritual healing of sinners and help them become aware of how blessed they are in Your eyes. Saint Camillus, pray for us. Amen.
