St. Anne Church - Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Day 8:

The next day in the Holy Lands is a free day. We start with a brief return to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to celebrate Mass in the Franciscan Chapel. Then we are on our own to explore Jerusalem without a tour guide.

I join Father Ed and Nancy on an adventure through old Jerusalem. Following a map and asking directions of the friendly residents, we make our way to St. Anne Church. According to traditional belief, Anne, the mother of the Blessed Virgin Mary, lived here on the site where this church was built. Possibly, she gave birth to her special daughter here.
